xhrl_ On Passive Restraints, being a collection of Clutch’s best thrash, they show their roots. Starting with "Passive Restraints," the track showcases singer Neil Fallon's hilarious lyrics: “My father was black, my mother was Decker …;" Clutch wraps the rough voice with a guitar crunch that brings out the manly grin. The EP ends with the brooding, dirgy, & explosive "High Caliber Consecrator" -- the latter part erupting into a guitar assault prior to Fallon's voice pushing it to the edge! Favorite track: Passive Restraints.
